The ASG Parent and Child Show, New Zealand's most popular
parenting Show for everything from pregnancy to primary school, is
returning to Christchurch on 18-19 August 2007.
The Parent and Child Show, now in its 14th year, showcases
products, services, support groups and information sources to
enhance, inspire and support those in their early years of
parenthood.
Headlining this year's Parent and Child Show seminar programme
is Diane Levy, author of the best selling book 'Of course I
love you... now go to your room'. This internationally
renowned counsellor, family therapist, speaker and author will be
sharing valuable insights with parents on when to growl, when to
cuddle, and how to discipline your child.
This year, Bananas in Pyjamas will be performing their brand new
item, Bananas in Tutus! The yellow bananas in their striped PJs are
sure to be as popular as ever. Children of all ages will be
entertained by the interactive kids' boogie on the Musical Stage,
and the spellbinding illusions of Nickelby the Magician. A non-stop
programme of dancing, storytelling and activities will amuse and
engage children and parents alike.
Further exciting and informative seminars are available to
educate visitors to the ASG Parent and Child Show on topics such as
toilet training, bedtime challenges and tantrums. Parents are also
able to have all their questions answered about breastfeeding, CPR
and making homes safe for children.
As well as offering information and support, the ASG Parent and
Child Show has more than 90 exhibitors all under one roof. Back
this year, The Baby Factory, ASG, Huggies and Treasures are
long-time exhibitors and always favourites with show visitors. A
vast array of companies, products and services will be on show
specialising in everything from education, health and nutrition to
baby toys, accessories, clothing and much more. New exhibitors for
2007 include: Cheekybubs, who are showcasing the new Podee
hands-free feeding system; Mocka Chair, who introduce an extremely
versatile highchair; and Bodinapod, who have developed an
innovative 3-in-1 sleeping package for kids. Also new to the ASG
Parent and Child Show is WorldWear, who have a delightful range of
European baby and toddler clothing available.
If you're a caregiver, grandparent, prospective parent or just
getting started on the life-long parenting journey, the ASG Parent
and Child Show is the place to go. Even the most dedicated parent
needs direction to manage the big task of bringing up a happy and
healthy child and this one-stop-shop for information, products and
services allows parents to absorb at their own pace. Kids are kept
entertained, and it all takes place under one roof with facilities
designed to be family-friendly.
