Burn Support Group Charitable Trust

An average of 5 New Zealand children die each year from burn related injuries and every day a child is burned severely enough to be admitted to hospital. Burn Support Group Charitable Trust, is a non profit organisation that supports burn survivors and their families, offering emotional and practical support during recovery and beyond. We rely solely on the generous support of the public and different organisations who donate to our Charity of which we are truly appreciative.

Burns are traumatic injuries for survivors, family/whanua, friends and colleagues. There are many losses to be faced, their physical appearance, homes, income and the worst possible grieving of a loved one..The multiple emotions felt by burn survivors is the reason Burn Support Group felt there was a real need to support patients and families throughout the rehabilitative phase of a burn injury, however small or extensive that maybe!
