Gemma Douglas

Gemma Douglas

Gemma created The Motherhood Project in June 2018 after her third child was born. Originally as a way of bringing all the mothers she knew in her life together and initially as a support and community of empowerment for mothers in NZ. It became apparent that there was a great need around the world for quality support and resources for mothers regardless of where they lived.

Gemma is a qualified NLP Practitioner and has a Diploma in Life Coaching through the NZ Business Institute of Studies. She is also a trained teacher, meditator and has a passion for all things related to motherhood.

Postnatal depression and other maternal mental health challenges are too common in New Zealand.

Lineé, a Clinical Psychologist and Gemma, a NLP Practitioner, Meditation and Life Coach from The Motherhood Project will talk about the barriers to mental wellbeing that mothers face in today’s society. They'll discuss how these can be overcome, so mothers can THRIVE in motherhood – instead of just surviving. Lineé and Gemma share their knowledge and strategies on looking after your mental health, ways to prevent parental burnout and how important it is to build your own motherhood village.
