Dorothy Waide, Karitane Mothercraft Nurse best selling author and is one of New Zealand's leading sleep consultant's, understands it's ok to ask for help. With over 35 years baby nursing and sleep-settling experience both in New Zealand and around the world.

Dorothy is absolutely passionate about babies. In fact, in today's world she could be called a 'baby whisperer', however in Dorothy’s words You are your baby's whisperer, the only person who instinctively knows what feels right, while Dorothy will be backing you all the way. Not only will she give you the very best of her experience, but she will make you truly believe in yourself throughout your journey. Her belief in an environment that is structured yet nurturing and flexible to the needs of a baby entering life will be whilst at the same time free of dictating what you should or should not do, as every child, parent and family is different.

What makes Dorothy different from others - Dorothy looks holistically at your over all family life and will look at both food and sleep when working with you to help support you in your parenting journey. Dorothy believes in ‘parenting to sleep’ as this is part of your journey. Dorothy will encourage you to look at parenting from different angles and then encourage you to ‘go for it’ from there.

Dorothy supports, listens and if she hasn’t the answer then she supports you until you find it. She leaves no stone unturned and supports parents with babies that are inconsolerable until you get the answer.
