Stop crying and start sleeping!
11am-11:45am

Uncover Dorothy Waide's nurturing approach in calming even the most unsettled baby and teaching them to self-settle and resettle. Dr Adeela Afiz, behavioural specialist and chiropractor, will share her knowledge and techniques on how to deal with babies who suffer from colic, reflux and sleep deprivation. Combined, these two ladies have a comprehensive and holistic approach to nurturing your way through the first few months following birth.

Are you giving your baby the right nutrients?
12pm-12:45pm

The first 1,000 days of life marks a very important and highly influential period where the maternal diet plays a key role in growth & development. Throughout pregnancy it can be an overwhelming experience and a challenge to decipher what you should and shouldn’t eat!

After birth, a common scenario for Mother’s is putting their own needs, (diet and wellbeing) last on the priority list. All their energy and focus goes towards the baby, not understanding that the two are very much connected.

In this presentation Dr David Cannata will look at some of the key nutrients and tips throughout the important life stages of pregnancy, breastfeeding (to improve milk quality and quantity) and the transition to solid foods.

Breastfeeding: what's normal?
1pm-1:45pm

40% of mums stop breastfeeding because they think their baby is not getting enough from breastfeeding alone. Join Kristy from Medela as she talks through what’s normal in the first few days and weeks after birth, and what’s normal for the older infant aged 1-6 months when it comes to breastfeeding, and how you will know your baby is getting enough.

Kristy will also look at demystifying which pump is the right one for you, depending on how you are currently breastfeeding. She will explain why pumps may be used early on in the hospital and when not to use a pump.

It's breastfeeding 101!

Authentic parenting
2pm-2:45pm

Jacqlin invites you to empower yourselves with awareness, knowledge and preparation - to be the best 'authentic parents' you can be.

In her seminar you'll discover how to create a space where a baby wants to come home to. Bringing your child into the world in a safe, honouring and nurturing way. Holding that space, with unconditional love, for this unique individual to discover their own authentic contribution to the world.

You have the key responsibility to support this new little human to be in the present moment. Free from stories, patterns, belief systems and conditioning. Free from the baggage of the past. To do this to best of your ability - with grace and humour!
Reduce waste and save money with cloth nappies
3pm-3:45pm

Kate Meads, 'The Nappy Lady', will show you how cloth nappies make sense and cents! Discover how you can both reduce your waste and save money just by using cloth nappies.

Forget the old pink striped nappies, pins, soaking, hot washing and time consuming folding. Today, cloth nappies look exactly like a disposable but the only difference is that you throw them in the washing machine instead of the rubbish bin. She'll take you through your options and help you find the right nappy for your baby's bottom.
